What is Jilkyungyee?

“Jilkyungyee” one of four representative weeds growing in Korea. Being a weed, it often symbolizes “toughness” that survives the unfavoravble environment, but it has been used as blood cleanser and diuretics and consumed as alternative food during the spring lean season. Though small in height by nature, it is highly adaptable enough to grow big on the fertile soil.

Masak” is was named by Korean Life and Culture School graduates, hoping that “Masak” will prosper like Jilkyungyee that survives under any circumstances and is readily found as medicine at one time and food at the other.
